Over 35,000 students appear for SSLC Examinations in DK; Police Vigil & Prohibitory Orders in force

Mangalore,April 1:  S.S.L.C  examinations has been started from today the first of April,2013 and will last up to 10th April,2013. A total of 35,061 students have been enrolled in Dakshina Kannada District. Out of these total numbers 18,060 werev boys and 17,0001 girls.In Dakshina Kannada  District alone there are 7 zones and total of 96 examination centres are situated within the vicinity of Education directors office.

There are 31,346 regular students,1770 private students and 1306 students re-apearing students.In private students too there are 636 students appearing for the second time.Out of private students appearing for examination there are 1,429 boys and 341 girls.

Name of Examination Centres: Mangalore North 26,Mangalore South 20,Buntwal 15,Puttur 15,Belthangadi 10,Sulia 6 NS Moodbidri 4 examination centres are there respectively. 6 Examination centres have been exclusively kept reserved  at Mangalore South exclusively Private students as examinations for them is being held in Mangalore.

Every year examination were starting at 10.30 A.M  but this year as per the new rule examinations will start at 9.30 A.M and close at 12.45 P.M.

Examinations will last up to April 10th. Today being the first language test(Kannada,Hindi,Urdu,English,Sanskrit) on April third Science,April 5th second language(English,Kannada) on  April 6th Junior level Technical school children examinations,on april 8th Mathematics,April 9th Third language (Hindi,Kannada,English,konkani,Tulu and Urdu) and on April 10th Social science exam will be held.

In and around of all the examination centres premises Prohibitory order under section 144 has been declared.For the convinience of the students heavy police bandhobust has been clamped so that students can write their answer papers hazzle free.Also it has been ensured that no question paper is leaked and rumour mongers are being delt with severely.
