Mangalore, Oct 9: Mangalore South MLA J R lobo visited the Tagore Park here on Wednesday, October 09.

LIFE Foundation, inspiring humanity, an association dealing with social concerns handed over the memorandum to J R Lobo, with regards to the repair of light house hill and the restoration of clock tower.

Speaking to the media persons, Lobo said this park is situated in the heart of the city and it was used by lots of people from the early days.

Gandhiji and Rabindranath Tagore had also visited this park in the olden days. The light house here in the park was used as a signal for the ships during those times. The PVS groups had earlier carried out the repair works of this park and handed it over to the MCC, but they repair work not done.

He also further directed the engineers to do the needful, with this regards.

U B Saleem Ullal, K K Vishwas Shetty, Arjun Rai, Nithin Shetty, Krithin, Aroor Vikram Rao, Manju Kenjar,Manoj and other handed over the memorandum. Leaders P V mohan, Dennis D’Silva, Prabhakar Shriyan, Ismail, Prem and others were present.
