Mangalore, Sep 17: Demanding for the protection of arecanut grower of Dakshina Kannada who suffering from fruit rot disease D.K district committee of Karnataka Region Farmers Association protested in front of DC office.
Inaugurate the protest president of district committee K.R. Sriyan said that because of the heavy rain arecanut was get diseased by fruit rot .Now the farmers who loaned from banks and societies were in great loss. So that the government should give appropriate compensation to the loss he said.
District vice president V.P. Krishnappa Salyan, secretary K. Yadav Shetty, Vasudev Ucchil were present.
