Udupi; Sept 14: Padubidri police team lead by Savita P Hoogar, DYSP could able to nab Basappa Durgappa Masthamaradi, a resident of Yarajarvi Village, Savadatti taluk on 10.09.2013 at Gokakna Panchanayakana Hatti and produced before udupi district court on Sept 11, Wednesday.
Accused Basappa, who involved in the murder case of Sharanappa, a newly joined contract labour as a Gardner in UPCL on 25.08.2013 night at UPCL labor colony, Room No.C-6. On the basis of Dolphy D’souza, a complaint was registered in Padubidri Police station.
During the course of enquiry, victim had been identified as sharanappa, a resident of Basavapattana, Koppala taluk of Gangavati taluk and his body was confirmed and identified by his relatives, who came from their native place.An investigation also revealed that there were two other labourers with sharanappa.
Mobile phone of the deceased sharanappa has been recovered from the accused Basappa during the time of enquiry.
Savita P Hoogar DYSP, Shivananda S Valikara, CPI, Kaup, H C Suresh C Rajesh C Prashantha, P C Sudhakar B have played a major role in cracking the case and arresting the accused under the guidance of DYSP from Karkala and high rank police officials from other branches.
