Udupi; Sept 11: A rare black panther, that came hunting for its prey, entered the enclosure of bathroom of Kamala Shedthi at Kadoor, near Kokkarne in Brahmavar on Sept 11, Wednesday early morning and created an excitement amongst the people.
Black Panther was caught in a metal cage by the Brahmavar forest department officials after several hours of struggle and decided to release in Kudremukh national park.
It is learnt that the Black Panther, the presence of which are more in African countries and rare in India had come hunting at 2.00 am and entered the bathroom. It tried to attack two-month old Puppy, lying near the washing machine but Puppy defended in its own style and injured the Panther.
The worker, who was sleeping in the premise, heard the sound and upon thorough search spotted the panther. He then informed the neighbours, panchayat member and locked the bathroom.
As the news spread like the wild fire about the arrival of Black Panther, the people came in large numbers to see the rare Black Panther.
