Children’s education and moral conduct is the key for the progress of the country –says minister

Udupi; August 31: Inaugurating the ‘Manipal Aarogya Suraksha card distribution’programme held at Ambalpadi Shyamili hall, organized jointly by G Shankar family trust, Mogaveer Yuva Sanghatane and Manipal University on August 31, Saturday, U T Khader, minister for health and family welfare said in his address that reaching mother with new born baby to their home at free of cost and implementation of Aarogya Sanjeevini is in the current agenda of government.


He further said in his speech that in order to solve the problems faced by the hospitals, we have to take into confidence concerned authorities and doctors and extend the facilities to the people within the available time.


He also said that better education and conduct of the children is the key for the progress of the nation and it is the duty to bring peace, tranquility through Jeeva Vime (Life insurance).The salary of the elected representatives are being paid from the tax paid by the general public and hence it is the duty of every citizen to take service from the representatives.


He also added that I will try to reach the life line medicine to the common people’s family and also planning to open free dialysis centre in each taluk.Public can lodge their grievances, problems just by dialing 108.Doctors should also create an opportunity to render their service in rural areas.


After distributing the Aarogya card, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge said in his speech that Bunder work (Port) at Hejamadi Kodi has been already started with the investment of around Rs 100 crore, distribution of 70,000 houses for the fishermen has been completed, distribution of 3% interest to two lac fisherwomen also finished and budget of Rs 263 crore has also been prepared for the construction of protective wall against the sea corrosion. Government has given permission for 450 litres of kerosene demand.


Manipal Vishwa Vidhyanilaya vice chancellor H S Ballal has inaugurated the website for Mogaveer yuva Sanghatane, udipi district.
