Kasaragod, August 20: A family’s charred bodies were found inside their house at Cherupuzha in Kannur on August 19, Monday.
When vicinity people heard the sound of explosion from the house, they rushed to the spot, but house was in flames. Later police and fire service also moved to the spot and they found four charred dead bodies.
The deceased are identified as Saji (42), his wife Sindhu (31), their children Adhira (10) and Athulya (5). It suspected that the family committed suicide and reason is yet to be ascertained. The police also suspected that Saji killed his wife and children by poisoning them and then set the house on fire.
Kannur SP Rahul Nair visited the spot and investigation is on.
