Kundapur/Kodi;August 17: Addressing the gathering on the occasion of 67th Independence Day celebration on August 15,Thursday,Madhava Poojary,trustee of Kodi Chakreshwari temple said in his speech that instead of just hoisting the national flag and distributing sweets and then disburse, it would be more beneficial and appreciated, if we undertake some social welfare projects like the cleanness drive undertaken by the members of Shree Kshetra Gramaabhivridhi project at Kodi Hindu crematorium for the convenience and facilities of the people, who brings the dead bodies for cremation. It is highly commendable job what gramaabhivridhi members have been doing by converting the place from where foul smells were emanating into place of cleanness filled with breeze of good flavor.
He further said that inaugurating the “cleanness drive” at Kodi crematorium under Shree Kshetra Gramaabhivridhi yojane®one should actively involve in social activities like one which has been initiated by the members of gramaabhivridhi yojane like the cleanness drive at Hindu crematorium for the progress of the region.
While lauding the efforts of Shree Kshetra Gramaabhivridhi project members, B Appanna Hegde, trustee, Basrur Mahathobara Shree Mahalingeshwara temple said in his speech that if everybody involves in constructive works like this, society’s progress is hundred per cent guaranteed, he said.
