Karkala; August 16: Addressing the gathering in the” book on freedom fighter Krishnayya Shetty releasing ceremony” on the occasion of 67th Independence Day celebration organized by Mudradi higher primary school,Kannada Sangha on August 15,Thursday,at MNDSM aided higher secondary school premises, writer Ambathanaya Mudradi said in his address that the place where five freedom fighters were born including Jeerasalabettu Krishnayya Shetty, a highly principled,the man who acts as he said and a role model for others, has got a special significance and importance.
After unveiling the book, Diwakar N Shetty, Mumbai business person said in his speech that Krishna Shetty’s simplicity, principle and nobility has become a guiding light for us.
In the ceremony, senior M Vadiraj Rao has briefed about the individuality, personality of Krishnayya Shetty.
M Manjunath Poojary,Zilla Panchayat member,Dr M S Rao,H Yogish Bhat,President,Karnataka Sangha,who wrote preface to the book,Kannada Sangha president Vinayaka,Krishnayya Shetty’s family member Shashidhar Shetty, Ramesh Shetty,Jyothi Shetty spoke on the occasion.
Bheemaprakash Hegde, Ashok Kumar Shetty, School convener, Indira Bayari, Principal, Manjunath Kamath were present.
