Mangalore, August 14: J. R Lobo, Mangalore south MLA has distributed the funds to the widows under the National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS), at the NGO office here on July 14.
Nearly Rs.10, 000 each has been distributed to sixty beneficiaries under ‘Mangalore Hobli A’ and total sum of 6 lakhs was given under Sandhya Suraksha Scheme. After the distribution he said that the revenue department is working round the clock to provide financial help to the people who are in financial problems and they help to wipe out the tears of poor families, which show its concern towards poor people.
‘We need to recognize the efforts of the Revenue department and such kind of programmes will make the people to realize their efforts. If the primary bread earner dies due to natural or accidental causes, the family members will get Rs. 10,000 as help to the family. Hence concerned department have done commendable work’, he appreciated.
Meanwhile, Rs 1.50 lakh check was handed over to the family of a deceased, who had lost his life by felling in the rain water drain.
