Mangalore, August 8: A group of people tried to kill two youngsters by using the lethal weapons here at Koolur junction on Wednesday evening, according the sources.
The victims are identified as Ramachandra (39) and Bharath alias Munna (44), residents of Kottara.
The victim Ramachandra has been admitted to city private hospital and he is in critical condition. Another victim Bharath suffering from head and hand injuries, he treated with first aid.
As daily routine, Ramachandra moved after fitting the chasing of heavy vehicle along with his friend Bharath near 8.30pm and went to Rathna bar near Koolur junction.
While coming out from the bar, three miscreants attacked the Ramachandra and Bharath from the sword and fled from the spot. Fortunately they were taken to the hospital. A source says that they had habit of cockfight and had revenge with other. Hence it says that revenge might be the cause for the attack and Kavooru police filed the case.
The source also says that attackers are from Kodikal rsidents and a viewer says one of attackers name is Chippu alias Roshan. They were friends and for small reason they fought with each other, sources says.
