Mangalore, August 7: Rowdies are increased in the Dakshina Kannada district and regard this, discussion already held with higher officials and also collected information from them. Hence police have been warned that either police should be there or rowdies and once they arrested stringent legal action will take on them, said ADGP M. N Reddy.
He stressed in the discussion held at commissioner’s office and said that there is need of move around to spread the awareness about law and system. In the western zone including Mangalore and Udupi, if problem occurs, action will be taken within the boundary of law and action will also take on them, those who violate the law, he said.
In the police department, there are 18,000 vacancies and government has announced in the last year itself. To fill the vacancies, 18,500 application will b received and in coming three years blank post problem will be solved, he said.
‘Thefting cases are increasing in the Dakshina Kannda and Udupi district. The theft properties will be recovered soon’, he assured.
Regarding U T Khader’s statement to catch the culprit or resign the post, he responded that commissioner working in sincerely. We are ready to receive the information from public and we are working together. People must inform the police and owner can also take action on them. However, without informing the police, no one should attack in the group, he said.
