Mangalore, August 5:Police are reportedly identified the two persons, who were involved in the Friday’s shoot-out targeting businessman Vijayendra Bhat at Ballalbagh, according the sources.
It says that investigation is under process and police have also gathered some details regarding the assailants based on the CCTV footages available from the scene of the crime. Sources said the police are not yet divulging any information and there is a strong suspicion that the services of some local youth were utilized to execute the act. The assailants’ were keeping track of Vijayendra Bhat’s movement since the past few days.

Police sources said that a rivalry between underworlds dons Vikky Shetty and Ravi Poojari is believed to be the reason behind the attempt to kill Vijayendra Bhat. One person claimed himself as Vikky Shetty with one of the media persons and stated that Friday’s attack targeting Vijayendra Bhat was executed to avenge the killing of Bejai Raja and he also claimed that Bhat had funded the killing of Bejai Raja.
