Manipal; August 04: A incident of chain snatching has been reported in Manipal on August 04, Sunday morning at 08.30 am.
Sources said that when the victim Gauramma, a resident of Udipi Shivalli Grama, Anantha Nagar, 2nd phase , 3rd cross was walking on the road in front of her house, the bike-born duo, who came in their black coloured pulsar bike accosted her and while talking after stopping her, they robbed her 3 sovereign gold chain from her neck and fled the place. Estimated cost of the chain was Rs 60,000/=,it said.
A case has been lodged in Manipal police station by Gauramma and investigation is in progress.
