Mangalore, July 02: Mohammed Guthigar, secretary of Disha, has been doing developmental works by using natural material resources was bestowed with Karnataka state environment Prashasthi. The Prashasthi has been awarded by Ramanatha Rai, minister for forest, ecology and environment in a glittering function held at Malleshwarm Chowdayya memorial hall on June 18.
For the past five years, ’Disha institution’ in co-ordination with Moodushedde,Gurupura hobli,Ulaibettu Mallur,Addoor along with 96 Sva sahaya groups of the villages and 10 natural material resources samithi,Gurupura Hobli has been conducting get -together and creating an awareness about the protection of environment, it said.
Irene Vegon, Selvestar D’Souza, Francis Lobo, Mohini, Savitha kolavur were present in the meet.
