Mangalore, June 27: Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held Pathrika Bhavan on June 27, Thursday, Muneer Katipalla, Zilla President DYFI has said in his address that Panjimogaru double murder case has already completed its two years and police who used to promise in the beginning of the incident that culprits will be immediately arrested but they have miserably failed in apprehending the real culprits, he alleged

While speaking, he said that since no arrests have been made yet in connection with the murder of Razia and Fathima Zuva, mother and daughter, residents of Panjimogaru, public have started doubting the credibility of the police department, he said.

In this regard DYFI has raised many voices on several occasions and been fighting for handing over the case to higher investigating agency. However after several attempts and coming under public pressure ,police department had transferred the case to COD instead of CBI.But COD officials investigation process is moving  in slow pace, just for name sake and only when public outcry is mounted, then only authorities will arrive to Mangalore from Bangalore.

Therefore this murder case has to be handed over to CBI from COD. Memorandum has already submitted to District in charge urging the government to transfer the double murder case of Panjimogaru to CBI.

In case government does not take any stand in this regard, DYFI will intensify its struggle, he warned.
