“The new office bearers of the Manipal Udupi Toastmasters Club took oath in a glittering ceremony at Hotel Madhuvan Serai, Manipal. Tanuja Maben would be the President of the club for the year 2015-16. Mrs. Poorvi, Area Director of Area 3 of Division F of District 92 gave the oath.
Prof. Dr. Raj Rodriguez was the Chief Guest for the Installation Ceremony. In his address, Prof. Dr. Rodriguez emphasized on the importance of communication and leadership in every person’s life. He also told that platforms like Toastmasters clubs should be used effectively to enhance these precious skills. Division Director Malini Hebbar wished the new team all the best in her address.
Rajshekhar Pillai welcomed the gathering. Shashikanth and Vijayalakshmi were the Master of Ceremonies. Divya Kamath delivered the vote of thanks. Many Toastmasters from Mangalore also attended the ceremony. The programme was followed by a cultural event hosted by Mrs. Chandakala.
Other office bearers of the club would be: Chetana Maddodi – VP Education, Pradeep Jogi – VP Membership, Chaithrika Kamath – VP Public Relations, Kalpana Prabhu – Treasurer, Vijayalakshmi – Secretary, Rajshekhar – Sergeant At Arms.”
