Silver, Bronze medals won by NesarAmin in Intl Karate events

Mangalore, June 20:  Nesar Amin, a proud son of Maithri and Ravindra Poojary and a third standard student at Yenepoya School, Mangalore, has made his school, parents as well as the district proud by winning two medals, one silver in Kumite and bronze in Kata category in the recently held international Karate championship at Colombo.

Dr Manjunath, Principal of Yenepoya School addressing the press reporter said in his address that Nesar had participated in the event in under-10 category and he added that Colombo event was participated by as many as 450 students from eight countries.

India had sent 31 participants while 13 karetekars represented Karnataka, three from dakshina Kannada district including Nesar, who had participated in the event, he informed.

Nesar is being trained by Nadeem and Sarfaraz. His parents Maithri and Ravindra Poojari and his Karate instructors were present at the press meet.
