Udupi, June 13: A man and a minor girl, were found dead close to each other hanging from a tree at Kajarahalli near Saibrakatte on the evening of Friday, June 12th.
The deceased are Divakar (26) a rickshaw driver and Chaithra (16) was a student of Mandarthi high school. Both were residents of Kajarahalli.
It is gathered that, three days ago a missing complaint was lodged at Shankaranarayana police station.
The people who found the duo hanging from a tree near Kajarahalli on Friday evening, passed the message to others.
Divakar and Chaithra belonged to different communities.
It is learnt that the two were in love and their families had objected it. Some days ago they were seen together in a public place in the village and publics had passed comments about them. It is suspected that, these things might have drove them to take the extreme step.
Police opine that the deaths may be suicide case.
