Mangalore, June 17: Nalin Kumar Kateel,MP said in his address that the hike in KSRTC and BMTC bus fares would increase burden on middle class and poor families and urged the chief minister Siddaramaih to withdraw the hike in the interest of the public.

He added further that average increase in fare by 10.50% in KSRTC and BMTC by 16%, state government is trying to put common people in great hardship.

Normally, people especially rural poor people are relying on KSRTC for their daily journey and office goers and people who work in companies are depending on BMTC. State government is trying to snatch the bread from the mouth of common and poor people through this hike, he alleged.

Besides this, people are already bewildered by frequent hike in petrol price. Along with petrol price hike all the rates of daily essential items will also subsequently be increased.

In case state and central government fail to act on this, condemning all these BJP will launch a statewide protest, he said

In view of making Aadhar card mandatory, state government should make an arrangement in DK and due to lack of basic facilities people are suffering, he added. In this regard state government should take suitable measure to provide basic requirements, he said.
