Mangalore, June 15: In yet another case of arrest,a passenger from Dubai Abdul Safeer,aged 23 hailing from Kasargod has been nabbed at Mangalore International airport by custom officials for carrying 15 kilos of Iranian saffron worth Rs 15 lac.
Sources said, he has arrived from Dubai by the Jet Airways on June 15,Saturday morning.
As Safeer was passing through the green channel at the custom,official at the airport grew suspicion about him and accordingly checked his luggage and found saffron packets were hidden inside four diaper packets.
He will be produced in court and further probes are on.
