Prime accused in Hyderabad blast provided fake residential address of Mangalore

Mangalore, June 11: It has been reported that National Investigation agency, which is probing the Hyderabad bomb blast case, which happened in last year, that killed 17 and injured 119, arrived to the conclusion that passport of the main accused Ibrahim, a suspected Indian Mujahedeen man was issued in the year 2010  from Mangalore with fake residential address of Bendorewell .

Sources said that this information was disclosed by Maqbal and Imran Khan, who have already been arrested in connection with the blast case.It, is also learnt that police constable who had verified the address of the passport, has been questioned by National investigation agency, who had arrived in Mangalore in connection with investigation.

As per the rules the police officer from the respective jurisdiction is supposed to visit the address of the passport applicant to verify the address and in most of the cases, a police constable is sent for the said purpose.

Kadri police inspector, who was on duty in 2010, when the passport was issued to Ibrahim is wondering how the passport with fake address was verified by the police constable.

Mangalore police commissioner Manish Kharbikar said that police personnel are responsible for verification of address of passport applicant.

However kharbikar said that he has not received any information about the erring police constable so far in passport address verification  of terror Ibrahim.
