Mangalore, June 2: A memorandum by Suratkal block minority cell was submitted, urging state government to hand over the duel murder case, which occurred at Panjimogaru two years ago to CBI for speedy investigation.
In view of arresting the actual culprits behind this gruesome murder of mother and daughter, many organizations, forums, sanghatanas have already staged protests and voiced their grievances without any fruitful result.
Since there was no breakthrough in the investigation from the local police, then BJP government had directed to transfer the case to CID. As there was no breakthrough even from the CID so far, memorandum by the minority cell urged the chief minister to hand over the case to CBI.
Ramanatha Rai,minister for forest, ecology and environment and in-charge Dakshina kannada,U T ,Khader,minister for health and family welfare,Vinaya Kumar sorake,minister for urban development, MLA Moihiuddin Bava,P M Hameed,husband of late Razia,Shareef kulur,Niyaz,Ashraf and among others were present in the commission.
Chief Minister has promised that immediate action would be taken after discussing with DGP and CID.
