Mangaluru, January 15: A youth expired in a bike accident which occurred during late night on Thursday January 14th near Mahakali Temple, Derebail Konchadi in Mangaluru.
The deceased is Shivaraj Shetty (20), residing at Maryhill.
It learnt that while he was traversing from Akash Bhavan to Kuntikan, he dashed onto a stone after losing control of his bike near Mahakali Temple. When he fell off the bike, his head hit against a stone near a shop, and died instantly said the sources.
Police sources revealed that Shivaraj was speeding and failed to wear a helmet.
It is gathered that Shivaraj was a student.
A case has been registered by Suratkal traffic police.
