Mangaluru, December 27: Dharmendra K, leader of Akhila Bharata Hindu Mahasabha Dakshina Kannada unit has said in a press meet held here on Friday, December 26th that around 150 persons who are identified in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts will be reconverted to Hinduism. The re-conversion would be held in Dakshina Kannada the next year.

Dharmendra, on behalf of the organization, he urged the union government to declare Gandhiji’s assassinator Nathuram Godse as a national figure and support the organisation’s plan to build a temple in the name of Godse. The foundation stone laying ceremony for the temple will held on January 30th at a land demarcated in Uttar Pradesh. The organization aims to root out the negative image of Godse by doing this and wishes to picture him as a true nationalist and freedom fighter, he said.

Dharmendra also informed that, to mark the death anniversary of Godse, the organization will also observe January 31st as ‘Shaurya diwas’.

Speaking on illegal cow slaughter in the state, he demanded the state government to completely ban cow slaughter in Karnataka state by introducing an anticow slaughter act.

Dharmendra damned the introduction of Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments (Amendment) Bill, 2014 and urged the government to withdraw the bill immediately.
