Mangaluru, December 18: The new office of retired Police Officers’ Welfare Association in Dakshina Kannada district was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police Dr S D Sharanappa here on Wednesday, December 17th.
The new office is situated inside the premises of district police headquarters.
Dr Sharanappa addressing the gathering said, there should always be a sense of pride and self confidence among retired police officers for rendering their service to the country.
S K Poonja, retired superintendent of police and honorary president of the association, Vasanth Kumar –retired assistant sub-inspector, officer bearers of retired policemen’s association – Udupi district and many retired police officers were present during the ceremony.
The gathering was welcomed by B J Bhandary, president of the association and Manjunath secretary of the association thanked.
