Mangaluru, December 9: AB Ibrahim, the Deputy Commissioner of DK district has informed that the hospital expenses of those who were attacked following the clashes that erupted between two communities after Datha pilgrims were attacked on Friday, December 5th in Ulaibettu will be paid by the district administration.
DC Ibrahim after visiting the injured in SCS hospital spoke to the media on Tuesday, December 9th, and said though few incidents of assault was reported from different parts of the city, the situation was brought under control.
The district administration and the police department are taking appropriate measures to maintain peace. Stringent actions will be initiated against those who are found guilty of curbing peace warned the DC.
DC said, four were discharged among the 12 persons who were admitted in the hospital, and the rest of them are out of danger.
DC Ibrahim, urged the citizens to remain calm and not to believe any rumors.
