Manipal: The department of public health, Manipal University (MU) in collaboration with Ohio State University (OSU), USA has initiated an educational exchange programme for students and faculties by signing a memorandum of understanding (Mou). The MoU entails collaborative research and joint workshops and conferences.
While Michael Bisesi and HN Nagaraja represented OSU, H Vinod Bhat, pro vice-chancellor of MU and Ramachandra Kamath, head of the department of public health, MU, represented Manipal.
Seventeen students from OSU are currently doing a study on global health with a focus on Indian public health system, health policies and national health programs in Manipal varsity. They will be in Manipal for a month.
