Mangalore, October 31: The death anniversary of former Prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi was observed at District Congress Office in Mangalore on Friday, October 31st.
Minister Ramanath Rai, rendered tribute to late Indira Gandhi and appreciated her efforts in bringing social and economic independence to the citizens.
The District Congress activists commemorated the death anniversary of Indira Gandhi and paid respect to the former prime minister.
He said, “Indira Gandhi went against capitalists and landlords in order to bring about economic equality in our country. But the opposition parties are playing dirty games of politics to degrade the works of Indira and thus the Gandhi family”.
The minister went on to the extent of calling the Sangh Parivar as ‘anti-national’ stating that gossip mongers are national enemies.’ He advised that an internal purification was needed before launching Swachh Bharath Abhiyan in India.
He wound his talk by stating that all citizens are aware of the remarkable works of Gandhi and Pandit Nehru.
