Mangalore, October 29: A cleanliness drive under the collaboration of the Mangalore City Corporation and the Kankanady Market Traders Association was launched at the Kankanady market in Mangalore on October 29th, Wednesday.
Gokuldas Nayak, in-charge Commissioner of Mangalore City Corporation delivering his talk said, the MCC was committed to make Mangalore city a much cleaner place. He said, the drive will continue until November 25th.
He also said cleanliness campaigns will be held at different places by joining hands with various organisations and also assured that one place in the city would be cleaned daily.
In this drive, Madhu SM, Environmental Engineer, Dr Manjayya Shetty Health Officer, local corporator Naveen D’Souza, Traders Association President Ali Hassan, Roshan Patrao, Secretary and other shopkeepers at the market had participated.
