Kundapur, October 20: The Kundapur cops have arrested a alleged youth who had absconded after deceiving a girl by forcefully having a relationship with her by promising her of getting married.
The accused is Ganesh (24), a resident of Keradi.
The girl is a resident of Hattiangadi in Kundapur taluk. It is alleged that, Ganesh had promised the girl of getting married and had raped her. After this, he took her to Bangalore. When the girl forced him to tie a Nuptial knot there, he betrayed her and escaped.
The way-less girl then took refuge at a house there. She was carrying and needed some amount. So she visited a bank at Tirthalli to draw money from her account. When her parent’s came to know about her visit, she was brought to Kundapur with the aid of cops.
It was only then her parents knew about her affair and that she was carrying.
Four days ago they had filed a complaint at Kundapur police station. Based on this plaint, the cops began investigation.
They arrested the accused Ganesh at Dharwad and had brought him on Saturday, October 18th morning. He has accepted to the crime during probe. He is presented before the court.
