Kundapur, October 10: The Kundapur Cops had arrested a person alleged of drawing money using the ATM card which was fallen on the streets.
A woman residing at Kundapur Janatha colony had lost her purse in which she had placed ATM card of Vijaya Bank. The woman had placed her Pin code in along with the card. Immediately on losing her card she called the Bank and requested to block her account.
But late night she received a message that the entire amount has been en-cashed from her account. Hence she rushed to the bank. The local branch had sent a request to the Bangalore head office to block her account, but due to communication drawback, the money was lost.
The woman filed a plaint at the Kundapur police station regarding this issue.
The bank authority had received the information of the amount withdrawal done at Syndicate Bank ATM in Koteshwar and Karnataka bank ATM in Anegudde, Kumbhasi where the image of the culprit was clearly visible in the CC camera footage. When the investigation was carried using this data, the cops landed in front of the residence of Subramanya, who was residing at the same Janatha colony where the woman was residing.
The culprit denied this matter in the beginning who was also the accused in two other cases before. When he saw his image captured in the CC camera, he finally accepted that he had en-cashed the cash form ATM and returned the money to the woman and the case was closed under compromise.
