Panambur cops put three chain flickers behind bars.

Mangalore, October 8: Panambur cops have put triple chain snatchers behind bars on Tuesday, October 7th.  Cops have seized 12 gold chains worth Rs. 11lakhs weighing 409gms and three bikes from them. Mangalore police commissioner R Hithendra has given the information about the criminals in a press meet held at Mangalore on Wednesday, October 8th.

The arrested are identified as Zakir Hussain (23) son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Thane, Mumbai, Mohammed Rizwan (23) son of Moidin, resident of Bajal, Mangalore and Irshad (28) son of Mohammed Musthafa resident of Chombugudde in Mangalore.

The arrested were facing many cases in Mangalore, Ullala, Mulky, Kasargod and various places. These were booked under 12 cases from both the districts.

On September 24th, 2014 Ashalatha Bangera was on her way to house from her duty near Meenakaliya old railway quarters. Duo bikers had approached Ashalatha in the eve of asking for an address snatched her gold chain worth Rs. one lakh and fled the site.

A case was filed in Panambur police station. Cops began investigation based on her plaint and were successful in nabbing the chain flickers.

This operation was carried as directed by  police commissioner R Hithendra by ACP ‘s Jagadish and Vishnuvardhan who guided the Mangalore North Division  ACP Ravikumar S,under whose lead; Panambur Police Inspector Mr. Lokesh A.C and Police Sub-Inspector Mr. Satish M, P,ASI  Mr. Yogesh, Mr. Harish, Mrs Sundari, police personnels- Kushala Maniyani, Satish, Chidananda, Purushothama, Rashid, Manjappa, Radhakrishna, Udayakumar, Chandrahas Alva, Manjunath, and B. K Krishna from Suratkal station and others participated in tracking this case.
