Mangalore, October 6:  Since the runway-end safety work at the Mangalore International Airport will be carried out, Airport authority of India will reschedule the night flights for six months from November 1st.

J T Radhakrishnan, director of the airport addressing the media, said, “Fifteen days ago, I had written to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation seeking permission to reschedule the night flights from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am to carry out the parallel runway taxi safety enhancement works at the airport”.

“This means that there will not be any take-off and landing process between 11.30 pm and 7.30 am. The affected airlines will have to reschedule their operation to avoid night landing and takeoff,” he added.

He said, “Suspending night flights would effect two airlines operating from Dubai and Dammam and the Winter schedule of airlines would be effective from October 27th“.

During the Winter schedule, the Jet airways and Air India Express have rescheduled their flights. Kindly visit the airline websites for new timings of the flight.

From October 27th onwards, the Mangalore-Kuwait direct flight will be effective.
