BIT’s Budding Engineers drive-in for a “Green-Walk”: Create awareness among layman.

Mangalore, September 29: The green Club of Beary’s Institute of technology (BIT) with the collaboration of Indian green building council (IGBC) had organised “Green –walk-2014” programme.

This programme was kick-started by the MLA Moideen Bava at Nehru Maidan in Mangalore city. The nature aids for the healthy environment. Hence we have to give prominence towards protecting the environment. It is appreciable that a technical institution such as BIT has spent time to create awareness on protection of nature, he said.

The principle of BIT spoke on this occasion and said that; based on the assumption that “Clean city is a healthy city” this campaign is carried out. With a view of creating awareness among the layman by maintaining– a clean city and healthy city, there by balancing the environment, its advantages, health and cleanliness; this campaign is carried out by the BIT.

On this occasion, the director of BIT Dr Sai Nath, the organiser of BIT green club Sheik Moideen K.M was present. The campaign began in the morning at Nehru Maidan and proceeded towards Hampankatte circle, K.S .Rao road, M.G. road and assembled at Mangala Stadium.

Culmination at Mangala Stadium:

Taking part at the culmination of the campaign at the Mangala Stadium, MLA J.R Lobo said, the discipline, working attitude of the citizens of the country such as Singapore has to be inculcated by us and let us work together to build an healthy and clean city.

The principle of the college welcomed the gathering. Professor Shiek Miodeen convened the program. Professor Musthafa delivered the vote of thanks.
