Cricket legend Ravishankar Shastri visits Yerlappady temple.

Udupi, September 23:  The former cricketer- international Commentator, BCC director Mr  Ravishankar Jayadratha Shastri has visited the Karvalu Shri Mahavishnumurthy temple in Yerlapady near Karkala on Tuesday September 23rd.

The World’s number-1 commentator Mr Ravi Shastry poses a strong relation with the Deity Nagabrahma. His professional life was linked with cricket where as his family life was blessed by the trust in god.17 years post his wedding, there were no signs of sibling; Mr Ravishastry visited this Yerlapady Shrine and sought the blessing of the Deity. Six years ago, he visited the temple and was blessed with a female sibling. Following this, Mr Ravishankar and his family visits the Shrine yearly and performs pooja at the temple and Naga Sannidhi.

The ancestors of Mr Ravishankar were residing at place named Yerlapady. On learning about the miracles taking place in this shrine, he has happened to visit the Shrine at least once a year. He spoke on his visit Mr Ravishankar said, he would experience peacefulness on visiting Vishnu Murthy Temple and Nagabana. I forget all my tensions and attain mental peace, he said.

Post 24 years, the Indian team had given a best performance in England. They will spring out after obtaining Kohli Farm. Lot of Cricket is impending in them. Rise and fall are common to players, he said.

It appears to be a festivity to the Villagers  when Ravi Shastry pays a visit to the Karvalu temple. When he visits the temple, special dishes will be prepared at the temple. Mr Shastry took part in the lunch alike a lay-man.

People honored him. He is closely linked to this village. He has given monetary aid to the temple and school here.

Visit to Kollur: By Tuesday evening, Mr Ravi Shastry visited the Kollur Shree Mookambika Shrine and offered special prayers and sought the blessings of the deity.

During his visit he was honored by the Temple’s administration.
