Mangalore, September 22: A youth was stabbed to death during the wee hours of the day near Gorigudde here on Monday September 22nd.
The victim is identified as Durgaprasad(24), a resident of Kambettu Badaga in Yadapadavu.
It is gathered that Durgaprasad was waiting near a cemetry close to Gorigudde with his friend, when some strangers approached them and began to attack. They first assaulted his friend and chased him away, and then allegedly stabbed Durgaprasad, before fleeing the spot.
Durgaprasad, sustained critical injuries on his stomach and legs, was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Reason behind the murder is yet to be known.
Police commissioner R Hitendra visited the hospital and enquired.
Pandeshwar Cops inspected the spot and investigations are in progress.
