Mangalore, May 6: It has been reported that Manvita, daughter of Shobha M, a housewife and A N Mohanda, a welder by profession in Bantwal, who is studying in Vishwa Mangala High School, Konaje has created a history by scoring second rank in the state in SSLC exams, result of which were announced on May 6, Monday.She is the native of Pajir village of Bantwal Taluk.
By securing second rank in the state she made the entire district in general and her institution and parents in particular proud. She has scored 621 out of the total 625 marks.
It was reported that Manvita scored 125 in English,100 in social studies and Mathematics and 99 in Hindi and Kannada and 98 in science and shared the rank with Nagarjuna of Holichild Highschool,Bangalore and Prerana of Adichunchangiri,Shimoga.Sudheendra of Vijaya High school in Bangalore stood first in the state by scoring 62 2 out of 625.
Shobha, mother of Manvitha emotionally said in her delighted tone that we are all happy over Manvitha’s performance. She has been consistently maintaining her academic records and she was not only good in studies but also in extracurricular activities and had won prizes in various competitions. She has won third place “Prathibhakaranji”in drawing at the state level. She has been winnig prizes in Anche Kuncha for the last three years.
Manvitha wants to become a doctor by choosing science as an optional subject in her PUC and said that she had been studying very hard and it was her dream that she must score good marks but she never expected a second rank and expressed delight over her performance.
