Kundapur, September 12: A man was suspiciously found dead at his house at Bavikatte, Gangolli here on Friday September 12th.He has been identified as Shekar (38), a resident of Janata Colony.
It gathered that Shekar, a coolie worker, had two wives. His first wife, Sujata, with whom he has a son and two daughters, was separated and has been living at Naikanakatte with her children since the last five to six years.
His second wife, Kalpana, their two sons and a daughter stayed along with him at Bavikatte.
Sources revealed that on Thursday night, September 11th, Shekar has returned home drunken and began quarreling with Kalpana. It is said that he was seriously injured on the head during the fight and succumbed soon after.
The family denies of the quarrel and claims that Shekar died after he suffered a fall.
The cop’s, are not ruling out the possibility of a murder. The elder son from his second wife, identified as Jayasuriya (17), has been taken for questioning, as he was the witness to their quarrel.
Gangolli Cop’s have inspected the spot and filed a case. Investigations are on.
Since the dog squad is expected to be brought on Saturday September 13th, the house has been sealed.
