New York: A 22-year-old woman murdered a nine-month old pregnant woman and ripped the baby out of her womb, claiming it as her own, according to a report in New York Post.
The woman allegedly slit the throat of the woman and then carved the baby out of her womb and screamed manically that she had just given birth to the baby.
Police say that the woman from Bronx named Ashleigh Wade was desperate to have a baby and has committed the grisly act in murdered woman’s home in Wakefield.
“It’s my baby!”, Wade declared to the cops when they arrived at the crime scene.
Angelikque Sutton, the murdered woman was also twenty-two year and had known Wade since the two women were little girls, sources said.
Her body was lying on the floor with her placenta mangled with blood when the police reached her house.
Wade has called Sutton’s boyfriend Angel Praylow to the house after the murder and it was him who informed the police about the incident.
The police arrested Wade after they arrived at the scene and she was sent for observation at a medical centre.
Sutton was declared dead but her newborn survived and is being looked after by Praylow.
Wade has told people that she was pregnant and ‘looked heavy’ according to a friend who knew her. Police have also sent Wade to get medically tested to find out if she was pregnant too.
Charges are still pending against the twenty-two year old.
