Washington: Bikram Choudhury, founder of the heat-fuelled Bikram yoga, has denied that he attacked six female students who are suing him for sexual assault. The 69-year-old yoga teacher said in an exclusive interview that he wants to show people and tell the truth to the world, that he never assaulted them, CNN reported.
Choudhury, who claimed that he would never resort to physical aggression to have sex because he has so many offers, added that women like and love him and so if he really wanted to involve the women, he doesn’t has to assault them.
Choudhury noted that he feels sorry for his accusers, claiming that he has nothing against them and doesn’t think they’re bad people and added that it’s not them saying that but are influenced by somebody. He repeatedly denied assaulting his accusers or ever having consensual sex with them, but when asked whether he’d had sex with other students, he responded, “yes and no.”
Choudhury, who’s been married to his wife for more than 30 years, added that he has no intention to have sex with any of his students or any women, claiming that sometimes students commit suicide if he doesn’t have sex with them.
Choudhury claimed these encounters took place before he was married, but when asked for evidence, his attorney advised him not to give out the names.
Robert Tafoya, Choudhury’s attorney, said that they know for a fact that these claims allegedly occurred many years ago, and nobody ever came forward and yet, after this lawyer sends out these kinds of blasts in social media asking people if they’ve been a victim of Bikram Choudhury, all of a sudden these people come forward and all have very similar claims.
