Chennai: A 22-year-old actress was arrested by Chennai police from Bengaluru on Thursday for allegedly poisoning her live-in partner in their house at Maduravoyil in January after he reportedly asked her to indulge in group sex for a porn movie.
The police alleged that Shruthi Chandralekha had poisoned S Ronald Peter Prinzo, 35, and later strangulated him to death with the help of some of his friends. They said Prinzo suffered losses in business, which he initiated with friends, following which his partners began pestering him to return their money.
With Prinzo not responding, they teamed up with Shruthi, who was already finding it tough to continue with her lover. After she poisoned Prinzo on January 18, Umachandran and Prinson, along with friends Raj alias Saddam, Vijay and Rafiq from Nellai, strangulated him to death. The body was taken to Palayamkottai in a car and buried in a vacant plot in Asirvatha Nagar. The accused reportedly took `75 lakh in cash, a Volkswagen Polo car and other valuables from Prinzo and shared the booty.
Trying to divert the police, Shruthi lodged a complaint saying Prinzo was missing. Prinzo’s brother Justin too had lodged a police complaint. In the month of May, he saw his brother’s s car and when he intercepted it, he found Prinson using it. He gave contradictory answers when asked about his brother, Justin told the police.
Police picked up Prinson and confessed to the crime. He has been arrested, along with Raj, Vijay, Rafiq and Shruthi. Police has launched a hunt for Umachandran, Vinod Nirmal Singh and Elisa who are linked with the murder.
