DMK leader M.Karunanidhi on Tuesday explained the reasons behind the suspension of former Union Minister M.K. Alagiri from the party, saying he was extremely unkind in his remarks against party treasurer M.K. Stalin.
He said the party would also take a decision on the call for the expulsion of Mr. Alagiri from the party.
“When he met me on January he used threatening remarks against Stalin. No father can tolerate such words against his son. I do not know why Alagiri nurtured such deep hatred for Stalin. He went to the media against party’s general council decision,” Mr. Karunanidhi told reporters.
