9AAM_AADMI_PARVarious problems faced by people could be resolved easily but political parties keep these issues alive for the sake of their political mileage, Christinasamy, National Executive Council Member and State Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said here on Sunday.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the party’s office on Dr. Radhakrishna Road at Tatabad, she said AAP was originally planning to contest 15 Lok Sabha seats in the State but was now planning to increase the number of seats as people want the party to contest from all constituencies. Problems faced by people and the issue of corruption are inter-dependent, hence these two issues would be accorded priority in the election manifesto of the AAP.

AAP would be giving priority for youth and women candidates. AAP was planning to use the penetration of internet, social media sites in urban areas to reach out to the people. Asked about alliance, Ms. Christinasamy said that no political party had approached AAP for an alliance and AAP will not align with any political party. Devolution of powers is the objective of AAP, Christinasamy added.
