TIRUMALATIRUMALA, August 28; The temple town has finally been exempted from the 48-hour bandh starting Wednesday , thanks to the intense lobbying by district administrative officials and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) employees’ union leaders.

Devotees flying into the Tirupati airport can take the Karakambadi-Leelamahal route while those reaching the place by train also can take the same route via the APSRTC bus station to reach TTD’s Alipiri bus station from where they can get bus services to Tirumala.

Meanwhile devotees from Bangalore can detour from Cherlopalli-SV Zoo park road to Alipiri. Vehicles including private cabs, buses and autos will stay off the road.
