Hyderabad: Cash-for vote scam accused and Telugu Desam MLA, A. Revanth Reddy was granted bail on Tuesday by the Hyderabad High Court.

The court has ordered Reddy to cooperate with the investigating officers and submit his passport, alongwith furnishing a bond of Rs 5 lakh.

On Monday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau special court on Monday extended the judicial custody of the accused in the cash-for-vote case, including Reddy, till July 13.

He was caught on camera for bribery.

The three accused in the case — Mr Reddy, Bishop Harry Sebastian and Uday Simha — were produced in the court after they were brought from Cherlapally Jail.

Meanwhile, speculation is rife that Reddy is likely to quit his post.

Reddy will take a decision after consulting TD chief and AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, sources disclosed. This is to thwart the TRS’ reported move to banish him from the Assembly.

On June 11, Reddy was granted a 12-hour bail to attend his daughter’s engagement.
