Dharmapuri: The government school headmaster who was suspended for allegedly kissing girl students has been arrested by the Dharmapuri all-woman police. M.Chinnamadhu, headmaster of the government high school near Maatiyampatti, was placed under suspension on Friday following complaints by girl students that he was sexually harassing them.
As many as 44 girls and 40 boys study in the government high school near Dharmapuri town. The Childline official who probed into the complaint was shocked to find pictures of the headmaster kissing and pinching the waist of girl students.
The headmaster had been indulging in such sexual harassment over the last three years, the girls complained. Following a complaint by the district education officer, Chinnamadhu was arrested on Saturday for his alleged sexual harassment under the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act (POSCO), police said.
