BHOPAL, April 20: Four children were electrocuted after a 11 KV high tension wire fell into a river in Tikamgarh district on Sunday afternoon. District collector Kedarlal Sharma has ordered an inquiry.

The incident took place in Ur river in Majhora village where Sunil, Kaushal Deepak and Brojendra Ahirwar went to take bath. All of them were aged between 14 and 17 years and their bodies have been fished out.

Tahsildar NK Chourasia attributed the incident to “carelessness” of power department and said, gap between two poles was too much and there should have been a third pole in or near the river.

This is third incident of electrocution in the past one week in Tikamgarh.
