AHMEDABAD: With eight more people succumbing to swine flu today, the death toll due to the H1N1 virus in
Gujarat this year has reached 332.
110 fresh cases of the swine flu infection were reported taking the total number of confirmed cases to 5,521, the health department said in a statement.
As many as 4,044 patients have been cured so far, the statement said.
Meanwhile, around ten thousand lawyers affiliated to the Ahmedabad District Bar Association, who went on five-day leave due to the swine flu outbreak in the city, are likely to resume work from March 9.
“We are not going to extend our vacation which ended today as the situation has improved a bit. We are likely to resume work from Monday,” president of Ahmedabad district bar association Rajesh Parekh said.
