New Delhi,feb.22 : A ninth-grader, whose name had been struck off from the rolls of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Tughlaqabad, allegedly attacked the principal and the vice-principal on Friday.
The principal, Pramod Kumar, has a couple of stitches behind one of his ears and alleges the boy, around 17 years old, has attacked other teachers before. Kumar had been looking at the staff register when the boy started hitting him and the vice-principal. “He broke the computers, the television and overturned the chairs, and tables in the room,” says Kumar. “He was expelled last November. There had been a number of complaints. He’d smoke inside the classroom and was frequently violent with teachers.”
District-level members of Government School Teachers’ Association say they had complained to the directorate earlier.
